Job Title: Electrical Apprentice

Job Description

The Electrical Apprentice supports licensed electricians and crew leadership in the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and tooling connections. This role offers hands-on experience under direct supervision while maintaining strict adherence to project safety and quality standards in a dynamic industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed electricians with material handling, including organizing, moving, and staging electrical materials and equipment.
  • Support conduit installation by measuring, cutting, bending, and securing conduit according to project specifications and safety standards.
  • Help with wire pulls, cable routing, and terminations under the direction of licensed electricians.
  • Set up electrical equipment and tooling connections for installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Support electrical testing, commissioning, and startup activities for systems, equipment, and work areas under supervision.
  • Participate actively in daily safety meetings and ongoing safety training sessions.
  • Follow established Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and comply with all site safety requirements.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately under the supervision of licensed electricians and crew leadership.
  • Assist with basic construction, troubleshooting, industrial repair, and installation tasks as directed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with site rules and quality standards.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under the direct supervision of licensed electricians and crew leadership.
  • Basic understanding of electrical installation, troubleshooting, industrial repair, and construction practices.
  • Capability to assist with conduit installation, wire pulls, and equipment setup in an industrial environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety, including consistent adherence to LOTO procedures, PPE usage, and site safety requirements.
  • Willingness to participate in daily safety meetings and ongoing training.
  • Physical ability to walk extensively, stand for long periods, and work on hard cement floors in a large facility.
  • Journeyman-level or apprentice-level experience in electrical work (both levels acceptable).
  • High voltage work experience (600 volts or more) is highly beneficial.
  • OSHA 10 certification.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large semi-conductor facility of over two million square feet, requiring extensive walking on hard cement floors and occasional access to clean rooms. The environment demands strict adherence to site rules and safety protocols, including LOTO procedures and consistent use of PPE. Contractors are expected to provide their own PPE and bring their own electrical tools. Work is performed in an industrial setting with electrical systems, tooling connections, and high-voltage equipment, and may involve working in controlled clean room areas where cleanliness and compliance with facility standards are essential

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.29 - $41.29/hr.
