Full-Time Dependable Housekeeper/Nanny needed in Manhattan, NY

Location: Greenwich Village, Manhattan, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM or 8:30 AM–6:30 PM
Children: 9-year-old daughter
Pets: 15 lb hypoallergenic dog
Salary: $35/hour
Start Date: ASAP

A family in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, NY is looking for a dependable, experienced, and organized Housekeeper/Nanny to join their household long-term. Their longtime Housekeeper/Nanny has been with the family for approximately 25 years and is now retiring. They are hoping to find someone who can take ownership of the household during the day and seamlessly transition into caring for their 9-year-old daughter in the afternoons.

Responsibilities:

• Complete daily housekeeping, including making beds, cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms, laundry, changing linens weekly, and maintaining a clean and organized home
• Handle household organization and upkeep, working alongside the family's weekend housekeeper who assists with additional deep cleaning and larger household projects
• Prepare a couple of family dinners each week, as well as meals and snacks for their 9-year-old daughter as needed
• Pick their daughter up from school around 3:00 PM and provide transportation to after-school activities, including dance in Tribeca
• Assist with homework, playdates, organization, and her afternoon/evening routine
• Walk and care for the family dog and provide occasional house and dog sitting while the family travels
• Occasionally accompany the family to the Hamptons and stay for a few nights as needed; private bedroom and bathroom will be provided
• Use the daughter's approximately seven weeks at sleepaway camp during the summer to focus on household projects, organization, and deeper cleaning, with flexibility for the candidate to take vacation during this time

Candidate Requirements:

• Prior experience in a combined Housekeeper/Nanny, Family Assistant, or similar private household role
• Strong housekeeping, laundry, and household organization skills
• Comfortable caring for and engaging with a school-aged child
• Confident around New York City and transporting a child to school, activities, and playdates
• Comfortable preparing simple, healthy family meals
• Dependable, proactive, organized, and able to take ownership of responsibilities without needing significant direction
• Comfortable with dogs and willing to assist with pet care
• Flexible to occasionally stay overnight in the Hamptons for 3-4 nights and provide house/dog sitting when needed
• Seeking a stable, long-term position and interested in becoming a trusted part of the family's household
