This on-site, contract position provides a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of neonatal cases, making a significant impact on the health and development of newborns.

As a Locum MD in Neonatology, you will collaborate with experienced healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to our most vulnerable patients. You will play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing neonatal conditions, working closely with families to ensure the best outcomes for their infants. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for neonates in the hospital setting
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans
• Monitor and assess the health of newborns, including those requiring intensive care
• Communicate effectively with families regarding their child’s health
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Educate families and staff on neonatal health topics
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
• Stay current with developments in neonatology and best practices in medical care

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Neonatology
• Associate level experience in a clinical neonatology setting
• Board certification in Pediatrics with a focus on Neonatology preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment
• Commitment to continuing medical education and professional development
• Licensure and certifications must be valid in the state of practice

Schedule: 6x 24-hour beeper call shifts per month, specific dates

Setting: Level IIIA NICU

Weekly Census: 9-11 NICU patients and up to 7 clinic patients

Duties: NICU management, high-risk deliveries, high-risk C-sections, neonatal procedures, and outpatient follow-up clinic

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
