Current coding certification required (AHIMA or AAPC – CCS or CPC)
Associate degree preferred in healthcare, business, or related field
2+ years of medical coding experience preferred
Experience with medical billing and reimbursement and healthcare or clinic environment preferred
Strong proficiency using EHR systems (HFH EHR preferred)
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills with ability to discuss patient financial responsibility
Proficient in Excel with strong math skills and ability to complete forms and calculations
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and adapt to policy changes
Team-oriented, collaborative, and able to meet annual competency requirements
