Job Summary:

The Outpatient Clinic / Ambulatory Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering skilled nursing care in an outpatient ambulatory setting at a rural health center. This role requires strong clinical expertise to assess, educate, and mentor nursing staff while collaborating effectively within the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in an outpatient ambulatory clinic.
• Perform patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on health management and care plans.
• Mentor and support nursing staff to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably including hospital or ambulatory care.
• Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
• Driver's license, car insurance, and reliable automobile for travel if required.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in rural health or outpatient ambulatory care settings.
• Prior experience mentoring or educating nursing staff.
• Knowledge of interdisciplinary team collaboration in outpatient care.

Special Considerations:
