Salary: $114,200 - 114,200 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience with 4+ years in PLC programming or automation engineering.
• We need 4+ years of experience in PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis within a process or production environment.
• We need 4+ years of experience with robotics work cells and control systems.
• We need 4+ years of hands-on experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys ladder logic and structured programming.
• We need 4+ years of experience in electrical theory, robotics, control components, and automated equipment.
• We require the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• We need candidates who can physically perform the role, including lifting up to 49 lbs, standing and walking for long shifts, climbing ladders and gangways safely, and bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching as needed.
• Preferred qualifications include a masters degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a related discipline.
• Preferred qualifications also include a masters degree or Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• We prefer experience leading controls in manufacturing or other complex industrial environments.
• We prefer experience identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying motor controls such as motor starters, variable frequency drives, DC drives, and standard electrical components.
• We prefer experience interpreting and updating mechanical and electrical drawings.

• We apply subject matter expertise to troubleshoot engineering issues and conduct deep dives to identify root causes and reduce downtime for critical assets.
• We collaborate with Operations, Operations Engineering, FC Start-up, AFT Software, ACES, and Safety teams to support MHE optimization and project delivery.
• We maintain, troubleshoot, and improve material handling control systems, including PLC and PC controllers, industrial networks, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.
• We monitor MHE performance metrics and work with maintenance and operations teams to resolve system issues across the site.
• We provide escalation support to automation engineers during and after business hours, both on-site and remotely, to ensure timely repair of hardware and controls software.
• We mentor junior engineers, lead cross-functional efforts, and help build team capability through technical leadership.
• We drive continuous improvement initiatives, implement innovative projects, and develop system design enhancements to improve site throughput and operational performance.
