Senior Food Scientist

We are partnering with a well established manufacturer of food ingredients that supplies innovative solutions to customers across the global food and beverage industry. Known for its technical expertise and commitment to innovation, the company is continuing to invest in its R&D capabilities and is looking to add a Senior Food Scientist to its team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, developing new products, and working closely with cross functional teams from concept through commercialization. You will play a key role in product development, process optimization, and customer focused innovation while collaborating with colleagues across R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, and Commercial.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute laboratory experiments to support product development, formulation, and ingredient evaluation.
  • Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports, product specifications, and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to troubleshoot formulation challenges and support products through commercialization.
  • Partner with Manufacturing to support process improvements, scale up activities, and successful technology transfer.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging ingredients, and new technologies to support innovation initiatives.
  • Participate in technical discussions with internal stakeholders and customers when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience in food product development, formulation, ingredient applications, or research and development within the food or beverage industry.
  • Strong laboratory skills, including experimental design, data analysis, stability evaluation, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, quality systems, and food safety standards, including GMP and HACCP.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and commercial teams.
